UPCOMING EVENTS
April 22nd - 24th: Easter Weekend
Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail! Bring the children to visit with Peter and receive a goody! Bring your baskets for the egg hunt! Celebrate with us and enjoy a delicious Easter dinner Saturday evening.
April 29th - May 1st: Spring Clean Up Weekend
Take pride in our resort and take up rakes and shovels against the evil forces of winter. See the resort spring into bloom! All participants will receive a complimentary lunch and dinner. As this is the last Saturday of the month, there will be a FLEA MARKET – Vendors bring on the good stuff!
May 6th - 8th: Mother's Day Weekend
Join us as we give a special salute to mothers with our annual Mother's Day dinner and as always, Mom's eat free! Look for other special treats for Mom happening throughout the weekend.
May 27th - 29th: Memorial Day Weekend
Help us ring in the summer camping season! A HUGE obstacle course will be the main event and entertainment will be available for everyone's enjoyment. ? As this is the last Saturday of the month, there will be a FLEA MARKET – Vendors bring on the good stuff!

ACTIVITIES
Veteran's Day Celebration
Our Veterans Day Celebration was November 10-12! The kids wrote letters and made cards to send to the USO in Fort Bragg during Saturday's Kids Crafts. Then a member social was held that afternoon. On Sunday a Veterans Day service, led by Pastor Gene Journigan, was held to recognize each of our Veterans. They received pins and certificates.
Many thanks to all our Veterans!
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving Dinner was November 20th! With plenty of food and fellowship, this made for a great weekend! A special thanks to all the volunteers who helped serve! The evening was topped off with the Not-So Newlywed Game! Congratulations to the winners, Steve and Beverly Resop!

Christmas Festivities
Christmas Festivities began November 26th and lasted until December 5th! The first weekend began with Christmas crafts and decorating of the Christmas tree! The next weekend crafts were finished and Santa came for a special visit! Pet Pictures with Santa were on Saturday afternoon and that evening Santa visited with the children to take pictures and hear their Christmas wishes. The Christmas party was also held that evening, complete with hot chocolate and tons of Christmas goodies!
UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
March 18-20: St. Patrick's Day
March 18th marks the start of our 2011 Event Weekend Schedule! Come celebrate St. Patrick's Day with us! Compete in our "How Green Can You Get?" Costume Contest and the Pot of Gold Toss!
March 25-27: Chili Cook-off
Grab your favorite chili recipe and see if your chili is voted number 1!
April 1-3: Welcome Back
Sign up to help us complete projects around the resort. Participants will be given t-shirts, goodie bags, and be recognized at a resort-wide hot dog roast!
April 8-10: Flea Market/Chinese Auction
Join us for a resort-wide flea market! Members will be able to set up at their site. Any leftover unwanted items may be donated to the Chinese Auction. Our Chinese Auction benefits our Christmas Project.
April 15-17: As Seen on T.V. Weekend
We will be playing our own version of your favorite TV game shows, such as Family Feud and the Not-so Newlywed Game!
April 22-24: Easter Egg Hunt and Parade
Come enjoy our Easter Celebration! We will have two Easter egg hunts, a traditional Easter Egg Hunt and a flashlight Easter egg hunt! We will also be taking pictures with the Easter Bunny and having an afternoon parade!
April 29-May 1: 50's Weekend
We are turning back the clock to the fifties! Come see Elvis and bring your 50's garb to participate in the costume contest!

Campfire Recipe
Breakfast Burritos
Considered the most important meal of the day, breakfast will give the body the necessary energy to get through the morning. If there is access to a frying pan, breakfast burritos are easy to make and can serve several people quickly.
Ingredients
8 eggs, beaten
1-8 oz bag of shredded cheddar cheese
½ medium onion, minced
½ pound of bulk sausage
8 flour tortillas
Preparation
Cook the sausage until no longer pink, stirring frequently to avoid sticking. While the sausage is cooking, wrap the tortillas in aluminum foil and place on rack above fire. Watch carefully; it doesn't take long to warm the tortillas.
Carefully drain all but a small amount of grease from the pan. Add eggs and onion. Cook until the eggs are no long runny. Remove from heat.
Build the tortilla by placing a spoonful of the egg and sausage mixture in the middle of a tortilla. Top with cheese.
Roll up the tortilla and enjoy. (Hint: Keep extra packets of taco sauce from Mexican fast food restaurants. They don't take up much room and can add a lot of flavor to the burritos.)
