Summer is in full swing here at Bass Lake Resort, and we are excited for the 2023 camping season!

Hey, can you believe it is July already? Where is the time going? We had such a wonderful June; the weather has been beautiful. We kicked June off with All about Animals and G&G brought out some animals for us to meet and learn about it. They always put on a great show for us. The Father’s Day fishing derby was great again this year! We had a great turn out and the weather was perfect. The biggest bass was 15 1/2”. Thank you to all who came down to the lake and joined us. We also had a pizza picnic where all the Dad’s got to eat for free. We had a new band called The Terry & Joe Show that was a hit, we will be bringing them back. We ended June with Pirate weekend. We got a little rain but that did not stop us from having a great time inside and it cleared off in time for Elvis!
The pools are now open for the season! They will both be open daily from 10am-8pm and the lower pool by the store will be reserved for adults only from 1pm-3pm every day but Saturday. Please help us by watching your children and making sure they are following the rules posted. It is NY state law that all children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The rules will be enforced for the safety and enjoyment of all campers.
We had a staff lunch and recognized two members of our team for their service. Please help us congratulate Alfred Tefoe in our maintenance department for 20 years of service and Sarah Fischer in our housekeeping department for 5 years of service. We are blessed to have an amazing team that comes back year after year.
Our Annual Member Build is coming up fast! This year we will be building swings around the community firepit behind the upper pool and fixing up the small playground. We will be working on this together on Saturday, July 8th from 9am-noon and then lunch will be provided. Everyone is welcome to join us!
We do have a change to the activity schedule to share with you. For Halloween this year, we are going back to only one Halloween Weekend which will be on Columbus weekend October 6th-9th. The weekend before that September 29th-1st will still be just as fun but we will be doing a Fall Festival Weekend with different activities. We feel many of you stay for both weekends and we were all doing the same thing two weeks in a row, so we want to change it up a little.
July is going to be a great month! We are starting out with our 4th of July celebration and then we have Water Wars going on from the 7th to the 9th. Don’t forget your bathing suit, we are going to get wet. Superhero weekend will be from the 14th-16th. Who is your favorite Superhero? Christmas in July from the 21st – 23rd, we will be having breakfast with Santa, a hayride, site decorating contest and much more. We end July off from the 28th-30th with Beach Weekend, let’s make some sandcastles and have some fun in the sun. We are looking forward to a great summer and hope you all will join us!

Steve Baldelli
Steve Baldelli started Travel Resorts in 1986 at the age of 27 after a call from his friend Jim who had found some beautiful property in Pinehurst, North Carolina after a round of golf. Steve flew down from Minnesota to come to see the land and when he got there, there were 12 unfinished RV sites, a lodge, and a hole in the ground that was supposed to be a pool. He fell in love.
