JUMANJI!!!!!

Just like in the movie and the game board, for the ‘Jungle’ to stop, one must yell “Jumanji”! 2020 is now over. WHEW!!!

The start of each new year is a time to reflect on the year just past and make plans for the future. It holds a special magic, with a promise of new opportunities and the possibility to change our lives for the better. Yes, we had our challenges and we made it thru as well as making the best as we have always done.

2021 has dawned crisp and clear, we have experienced our first snow of the year (or the last of Last year) and the campground is post card perfect dressed in a layer of white. The locals have begun visiting the resort again and we watch them browsing and playing. We hope that the peaceful feelings of the holiday season linger in all our hearts and homes.

Projects for the year are under discussion and in the planning stages, with new electric upgrades scheduled to the pond area, reconstruction and upgrade to the shuffleboard court and some other minor changes to come yet to be determined as we are always thinking ahead.

The team is working hard to keep everything up and running during the cold, while preparing for the coming season. Even with the changing COVID regulations, we are still open and look forward to your visits.

We wish you a very happy New Year! We know that this past year has been full of challenges, and we pray that the coming year brings more certain times for your family. Here is hoping you are all safe and warm and we will see you soon.

Meet our CEO

Steve Baldelli, CEO Travel Resorts of America

Steve Baldelli

Steve Baldelli started Travel Resorts in 1986 at the age of 27 after a call from his friend Jim who had found some beautiful property in Pinehurst, North Carolina after a round of golf. Steve flew down from Minnesota to come to see the land and when he got there, there were 12 unfinished RV sites, a lodge, and a hole in the ground that was supposed to be a pool. He fell in love. Steve and his partner had no idea how to run a campground, but he knew he wanted to focus on three things: Taking people out of their normal element, making it close enough to home but far enough away to be a get-away, and making it affordable so all families could enjoy the campgrounds together multiple times a year.

35 years later, Steve has built Travel Resorts into 11 premier RV campgrounds from Florida to New York and now just recently has started venturing into the Midwest!

As a father of 3, an avid wine connoisseur, foodie, and lover of travel, Steve lives a busy adventurous life, but his heart is in providing the best camping memories to his members. You can find him at any of the resorts throughout the year, interacting with members, planting fun ideas in the activities directors’ heads, and always thinking about how to enhance our members’ experience. Because of Steve and his vision, Travel Resorts really is the definition of the Pursuit of Happiness.
