Summer is in full swing here at Bass Lake Resort, and we are excited for the 2023 camping season!

Happy August!!
How is it already August? This year is flying by, but you know what they say… “Time flies when you’re having fun!” We have a busy month ahead of us and we are so excited about it. With that being said, the summer heat is in full swing and we are so thankful for our pools and Lake Oconee!
This past month we have been preparing for our Member Build that will be held on August 12th. We will be remodeling the Pocket Park with new paint, new structures, and more fun! We think it is going to be awesome! We cannot wait to have an exciting time updating the park together as a family and of course, having a cookout.
We have loads of fun planned for activities this month. Starting out we will be celebrating our reptiles and goats by throwing a big birthday party for them. We will have a special guest joining us this weekend so be sure to ask Ki all about her! Following that will be our Member Build. We will have our 2nd annual fundraising weekend with the local Humane Society the weekend following. They will be bringing a few dogs and cats down to the Clubhouse where you can see them, play with them, and even adopt your next fur baby if you feel inclined to. Our last weekend of the month will be our annual chili cookoff/western weekend! Make sure you have CampersApp downloaded to see our schedules and the fun we have planned for you!

Steve Baldelli
Steve Baldelli started Travel Resorts in 1986 at the age of 27 after a call from his friend Jim who had found some beautiful property in Pinehurst, North Carolina after a round of golf. Steve flew down from Minnesota to come to see the land and when he got there, there were 12 unfinished RV sites, a lodge, and a hole in the ground that was supposed to be a pool. He fell in love. Steve and his partner had no idea how to run a campground, but he knew he wanted to focus on three things: Taking people out of their normal element, making it close enough to home but far enough away to be a get-away, and making it affordable so all families could enjoy the campgrounds together multiple times a year.
35 years later, Steve has built Travel Resorts into 11 premier RV campgrounds from Florida to New York and now just recently has started venturing into the Midwest!
As a father of 3, an avid wine connoisseur, foodie, and lover of travel, Steve lives a busy adventurous life, but his heart is in providing the best camping memories to his members. You can find him at any of the resorts throughout the year, interacting with members, planting fun ideas in the activities directors’ heads, and always thinking about how to enhance our members’ experience.
