Summer is in full swing here at Bass Lake Resort, and we are excited for the 2023 camping season!

We are in our last full month of summer, how is that even possible? We have had a very busy July here at St. Croix River Resort and August is looking very similar.
We had a lot of fun here in July from 4th of July weekend to our Christmas in July weekend, there wasn’t a dull moment. We had our Pampered Campers Vendor Fair as well last month. Although the rain came just as it started, we ended the day with sunshine. That is always one of our favorite times.
We have our first Member build scheduled for August 5th and we are looking forward to it. The maintenance team has already been doing some prep work ahead of time to prepare for it. We will be fully closing in the back side of the pavilion wall to make it a nice place for our outdoor movies. We will also be installing fans, projector and speakers. We will provide lunch for anyone that can help us out on August 5th with this project. If you don’t have plans yet, give us a call to make your reservations!
We are also in our last full month of scheduled activities. We have some fun themes planned; treasure hunt, sweet tooth, monster and around the world weekends.
We will have Cody Dylan Brown playing music here again on Saturday August 12th from 5-8 p.m.
As crazy as it sounds, its time to start thinking about our last weekend of the season. Our MEA Halloween weekend is October 20-22 and is a favorite of the staff here. We will have site decorating, costume contests, trick or treating, crafts and more. We are looking for more members to participate in our site decorating this year as that is what makes it fun for the kids. If you have never stayed with us for this one before it is one you don’t want to miss!

Steve Baldelli
Steve Baldelli started Travel Resorts in 1986 at the age of 27 after a call from his friend Jim who had found some beautiful property in Pinehurst, North Carolina after a round of golf. Steve flew down from Minnesota to come to see the land and when he got there, there were 12 unfinished RV sites, a lodge, and a hole in the ground that was supposed to be a pool. He fell in love. Steve and his partner had no idea how to run a campground, but he knew he wanted to focus on three things: Taking people out of their normal element, making it close enough to home but far enough away to be a get-away, and making it affordable so all families could enjoy the campgrounds together multiple times a year.
35 years later, Steve has built Travel Resorts into 11 premier RV campgrounds from Florida to New York and now just recently has started venturing into the Midwest!
As a father of 3, an avid wine connoisseur, foodie, and lover of travel, Steve lives a busy adventurous life, but his heart is in providing the best camping memories to his members. You can find him at any of the resorts throughout the year, interacting with members, planting fun ideas in the activities directors’ heads, and always thinking about how to enhance our members’ experience.
