Summer is in full swing here at Bass Lake Resort, and we are excited for the 2023 camping season!

Hello September!
The year is going by so fast this year, it’s hard to believe that we have less than 2 months until we close for the season.
We recently completed our member build in August! We closed in the back side of our pavilion and turned it into a movie wall. It turned out amazing! Thank you to all the members who took time from their weekend to help us out. We are already coming up with ideas for our 2024 Member Build!
Fall is my favorite time of year for campfires, the weather has cooled off and it feels so nice to be around the fire. September and October are quieter months here for us at STC. Some of our seasonal staff start leaving and moving on to their next job. Schools are back in session so families are limited to weekends but there is still plenty of time to get your camping in before the dreaded winter weather arrives! Come and enjoy some cooler temps and fall colors with us!
Our next big weekend that we are busy preparing for is our MEA Halloween Weekend October 19th – 22nd. If you have never stayed with us for this, you will want to get your reservations made. It is always a fun time! We have so much going on; site decorating contests, costume contests, trick or treating from site to site, crafts, and more! What makes it fun for the kids is when we get members who participate in our site decorating. We need more of you!

Steve Baldelli
Steve Baldelli started Travel Resorts in 1986 at the age of 27 after a call from his friend Jim who had found some beautiful property in Pinehurst, North Carolina after a round of golf. Steve flew down from Minnesota to come to see the land and when he got there, there were 12 unfinished RV sites, a lodge, and a hole in the ground that was supposed to be a pool. He fell in love. Steve and his partner had no idea how to run a campground, but he knew he wanted to focus on three things: Taking people out of their normal element, making it close enough to home but far enough away to be a get-away, and making it affordable so all families could enjoy the campgrounds together multiple times a year.
35 years later, Steve has built Travel Resorts into 11 premier RV campgrounds from Florida to New York and now just recently has started venturing into the Midwest!
As a father of 3, an avid wine connoisseur, foodie, and lover of travel, Steve lives a busy adventurous life, but his heart is in providing the best camping memories to his members. You can find him at any of the resorts throughout the year, interacting with members, planting fun ideas in the activities directors’ heads, and always thinking about how to enhance our members’ experience.
