Summer is in full swing here at Bass Lake Resort, and we are excited for the upcoming camping season!

Hello from Sycamore Lodge in beautiful Jackson Springs, North Carolina!
First and foremost, let me introduce myself to you. I am Jennifer Jones and I am the new Assistant Manager here.
I began working at Sycamore in October of 2018 as the Manager of the General Store. While I truly loved that position and all it entailed, I am loving my new role! My new position will help me further realize my commitment to the resort and ultimately to member service. Be sure and stop in and say Hello!
Let’s look at what we have accomplished thus far and what exciting things we have in store for you!
The pool is freshly painted, new L.E.D. lights and is already been getting used by members. A big shout out to all the members who volunteered and helped us get it all done by Memorial Weekend.
Our Dog Park is our next member build project and is scheduled for July 8th. We love our canine members too and this plan/design will give them a little freedom off a leash while still keeping them safely inside.
The Haunted Forest check presentation will be on June 17th at 6:30pm. We have another record-breaking donation for the Lymphoma Society, which wouldn’t be possible without our committed members. Planning for this years Haunted Forest is already underway and we are excited to beat last year’s total yet again.
Bob and Connie have been busy planning your activities while you are here. They have multiple new and delicious food vendors that are coming out here now. What goes hand in hand with good food? Why good music! The band lineup for June include some member favorites such as: Stoney Creek Band, Blind Crippled & Crazy, The Night Move Band and Indian Outlaw Band. All bands play on Saturday night beginning at 7pm under the pavilion.
You might notice some new and friendly staff faces here who are working hard to make your stay the best it can be at your home away from home. All staff here are committed to making your visit as smooth and relaxing as it can be. You have a question – don’t hesitate to ask any employee. If they don’t know the answer, they will point you to the person who does.
Be sure to grab a copy of our Guidelines at check in. Please remember the speed limit is 5mph in the resort, all pets must be leashed and cleaned up after and absolutely no aggressive animals are allowed on property.
Let’s make this camping season the best we ever had, full of fun, laughter and making new friends. We are proud to play a part in your families cherished memories!

Steve Baldelli
Steve Baldelli started Travel Resorts in 1986 at the age of 27 after a call from his friend Jim who had found some beautiful property in Pinehurst, North Carolina after a round of golf. Steve flew down from Minnesota to come to see the land and when he got there, there were 12 unfinished RV sites, a lodge, and a hole in the ground that was supposed to be a pool. He fell in love. Steve and his partner had no idea how to run a campground, but he knew he wanted to focus on three things: Taking people out of their normal element, making it close enough to home but far enough away to be a get-away, and making it affordable so all families could enjoy the campgrounds together multiple times a year.
35 years later, Steve has built Travel Resorts into 11 premier RV campgrounds from Florida to New York and now just recently has started venturing into the Midwest!
As a father of 3, an avid wine connoisseur, foodie, and lover of travel, Steve lives a busy adventurous life, but his heart is in providing the best camping memories to his members. You can find him at any of the resorts throughout the year, interacting with members, planting fun ideas in the activities directors’ heads, and always thinking about how to enhance our members’ experience.
