We have been experiencing a lovely winter season here at North Shore Landing, with the recent snowfall adding a beautiful touch to our picturesque surroundings.
The weather has been quite chilly, which means things have been a bit quieter than usual, but there's still plenty of exciting things happening as we gear up for the upcoming seasons.
December was a fantastic month for striper, hybrid, and white bass fishing on Lake Oconee! We've seen great catches and are excited for January to bring even bigger fish as the cold water continues to push fish towards warmer spots. This winter season promises plenty of opportunities to reel in some big ones.
The Coffee Train has been hosting its first Brunch-a-Palooza in partnership with The Burch Food Truck. This event was a great success, featuring maple waffles and delicious burgers, and we can't wait to host more events like this in the future.
While the campground is quieter during these cold months, our team has been hard at work behind the scenes:
Store Makeover: Our front desk staff has been reorganizing the store to create a more inviting and convenient space for our campers
Winter Cleanup: We're tackling some much-needed winter cleanup, ensuring that everything is fresh and ready for spring. This includes reorganizing our maintenance and clubhouse area.
Cabin Deep-Cleaning: Our hardworking housekeeping team is also deep cleaning our cabins, ensuring they are in tip-top shape for the busy spring season.
With these chilly temperatures, here are a few tips to help you stay safe and comfortable during the winter months:
Drip Your Faucets: To prevent pipes from freezing, make sure to keep your faucets dripping at night when temperatures drop.
Keep Pets Indoors: With the cold weather, it's important to keep your pets indoors where it's warm and safe.
Don't Forget to Book Your Next Stay!
