Hey there, everyone!
As I write this, I am shaking my head sideways in disbelief that today is the last day of May! How is that possible?
Then I remember what an action-packed May we had getting everything ready for Memorial Weekend and I'm shaking my head up and down in remembrance.
Our guys hustled and bustled to make sure our pool opened in time, and they succeeded.
The general store worked diligently to get the store arranged after receiving new merchandise for the season, just in time for the holiday.
Housekeeping rolled their sleeves a little higher to wipe off the winter blahs on less frequently used areas during the winter and it shows.
Grounds and host are continuously blowing and picking up the endless supply of leaves, pine straw and pinecones, among countless other job duties but are always there to lend a helping hand to anyone.
It takes a village to run this beautiful resort. We are truly blessed to work with such devoted, hardworking staff!
This place wouldn't be the same without you, our members.
It's seeing your smiles, hearing your children's laughter and squeals of joy on the playground or at the pool, smelling food cooking over campfires, listening to your latest travels, etc., that inspires us to make sure the resort is beautiful and running smoothly.
It's really a TEAM effort by all of us to keep this place going!
Speaking of the Team we have here, a big shout-out to our members who have volunteered to participate in activities this season. So far, they are doing Friday morning coffee socials in the lodge, weekly card games, chess lessons, candy bar bingo on Thursdays and crafts on Saturday.
Being these are volunteer-driven, times and days are subject to change. When you are here, be sure and check with the general store or the informational bulletin boards for schedules.
Don't forget, we are offering seasonal sites here. If you would like more information about that, come see me.
Be sure to grab a copy of our Guidelines at check-in. Please remember the speed limit is 5mph in the resort, all pets must be leashed and cleaned up after, and absolutely no aggressive animals are allowed on the property. If you bring your personal golf cart, you must register it at the General Store when you check in. Be sure and bring your Declarations page for proof of insurance.
Let's make this upcoming camping season the best we've ever had, full of fun, laughter, and making new friends. We are proud to play a part in your family's cherished memories.
