Hello, from Sycamore Lodge Resort!
We made it through the cold, some snow and ice that February threw at us. Here's to hoping March does just the opposite.
Even though we have had a very cold couple of weeks here in North Carolina, our Camellia and Gardenia bushes are blooming. A reminder that spring is just around the corner.
Not a lot can be done on such cold days outside, but our staff have been busy maintaining and getting things ready in anticipation of the season.
Our housekeepers stripped and waxed the floors in the lodge, and they look beautiful! Brings out the natural beauty of the antique wood. They are also in the process of conditioning the logs inside the lodge and it looks amazing!
Maintenance has been busy with replacing streetlights throughout the resort as well as inspecting electrical and water connections and trying to keep up with the pesky leaks that always pop up when it is freezing.
Looking forward to things continuing to warm up and our members coming to their home away from home!
Don't forget that we are offering seasonal sites here. If you would like more information about those, come see me.
Be sure to grab a copy of our Guidelines at check-in. Please remember the speed limit is 5mph in the resort, all pets must be leashed and cleaned up after, and absolutely no aggressive animals are allowed on the property. If you bring your personal golf cart, you have to register it at the General Store when you check in. Be sure to bring your Declarations page for proof of insurance.
Let's make this upcoming camping season the best we ever had, full of fun, laughter, and making new friends. We are proud to play a part in your family's cherished memories.
