“October had tremendous possibility. The summer’s oppressive heat was a distant memory, and the golden leaves promised a world full of beautiful adventures. They made me believe in miracles.” — Sarah Guillory, Reclaimed
Well hello October!!! The brief lull in September heralds the busy mini season here in Gettysburg! Cumberland County is right by the Catoctin Mountains, and the trees are already changing into their very fall best with hues of amber and gold. A flock of geese flew by last evening, and the deer have begun exchanging their nutshell brown coats to those of soft gray. Visitors come to Gettysburg to enjoy local Fall Fests, like the Wine Festival, Apple Harvest, and did you know… Gettysburg is Halloween Central?! Long recognized as one of the most haunted places in America, and ghost hunters come from all over the world to catch glimpses of Spirit.
